Appointment Policy

In order to provide the best quality of service, we operate by appointment during regular business hours. This allows us to schedule ample time for all our patients and for our surgical and medical procedures. Occasionally, emergencies arrive that will receive top priority. We strive to see our clients and patients on time, but there may be times when an appointment could be delayed. Walk-in clients are welcome; however appointments are preferred and will take precedence over walk-ins.

We are closed on Sundays and all major holidays, however, we do offer emergency, after-hour service.

On- Farm Appointments

Routine on-farm appointments should be scheduled at least 24-48 hours in advance, especially if radiographs, ultrasounds, or photon therapy services are needed.

Whenever possible, an appointment for the same-day care for urgent cases should be made by 10:00 am. On-farm emergencies are treated in the order of urgency and are based on the doctor's location.

On-Farm Appointments & Reduced Trip Charge Days

In order for our large animal doctors to better serve our clients, and help our clients save money as well, we have established reduced trip charge days for large animal calls on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Reduced trip charges are offered on certain days by location when the doctor is in that area. The arrival time is at the discretion of the doctor servicing each area. The charge is typically 35-55% less than the standard trip charge. If you need a specific appointment time, reduced trip charges will not apply.

To take advantage of the reduced trip charge days clients must schedule their large animal appointments by the evening prior to the reduced trip charge day for their area. The doctor providing veterinary services that day will typically be the doctor handling their appointment; however the actual doctor may change subject to availability.

Emergency after Hours Services

We offer "on-call" emergency service, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Emergency cases are treated in the order of urgency. Please call the hospital before bringing in an emergency case so that we can ensure there is a doctor available to assist you. We have a veterinarian on-call after normal business hours. Please call our regular number to reach our on-call doctor. If you are sent to voice mail, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the nature of your emergency. The doctor may be assisting another client. Someone will call you back as soon as possible. An emergency fee will apply for services provided after normal business hours and payment is required at the time of service.

Patient Arrival Policy

For you and your pet's protection and for the protection of others, please have your pet on a leash or in a carrier when you arrive for an appointment, boarding, or for grooming. If you do not have a leash or container, please ask for one prior to getting your pet out of your car. We want all of our patients, guests, and clients to have a safe visit with us.

Drop Off Service

We offer a drop off medical service for busy clients who are not able to be present for an appointment. To use this service, please call ahead to make arrangements, and then bring your pet in early in the day. After the initial exam you will be called to discuss treatment options. In many cases, you can pick up your pet at the end of the day after treatment has been given. A day boarding fee may apply.

Payment Policy

We strive to provide high quality veterinary care and our fees reflect our values related to both quality and level of care. We encourage you to ask for an estimate of services prior to receiving them so that you are part of your pet's level of care. Fees are due at the time of service or when your pet is discharged after hospitalization, boarding, or grooming. We may require a deposit prior to hospitalization, medical, or surgical treatment. We accept cash, checks with valid ID or driver's license, and credit cards; Master Card, Visa, and Discover.

Should you need a payment plan, we offer Care Credit. Care Credit is a separate credit agency that offers several payment options. You can apply on-line or when you come into the office. Please make sure that you bring appropriate identification. Please apply for Care Credit prior to receiving non-emergency veterinary services. We will provide you with an estimate of the services requested or needed.

Surgical Admission Policy

Surgical patients with a scheduled appointment should be admitted between 8am and 9am on the scheduled day of surgery. If a morning drop off is not convenient, you can drop your pet off the evening before the scheduled procedure and be boarded overnight. If you pet is due to go home the same day the procedure is performed, there will be no additional charge for boarding.

Any pet that will be undergoing an anesthetic procedure must be fasted with no food prior to admission. Please do not feed your pet after midnight the night before, however continue to provide them with water. Pets requiring blood testing should also be fasted before testing. Please call us if you are unsure whether you should fast your pet.

Boarding Admission Policy

Dogs and cats coming in for boarding or lodging need to have a reservation to ensure that space is available and reserved for them. You may drop off your cat or dog any time during normal business hours.

Cancellation Policy

If you cannot make your appointment to either bring your pet to our clinic or for an on-farm appointment, we request that you call us as soon as possible (24 hours advance notice preferred) so that we may reschedule your appointment time for another client.
